Echo Spot
2024 Launch
BACKGROUND
A tiny smart clock with a big personality — Echo Spot wakes you gently, plays what you love, and brightens your day. Its customizable 2.8-inch display brings glanceable information like time, weather, music, and alarms into the everyday moments that matter most.

STRATEGY

Echo Spot is all about the little moments that are yours—waking up, winding down, and everything in between. Our strategy was to show how this compact smart clock fits naturally into these everyday rituals while introducing customers to Alexa’s multimodal experience. I led visual design for the launch experience, translating our campaign concept into a product-forward narrative that helps customers discover and enjoy how this mighty little device enhances mornings, evenings, and everything in between.

PROCESS
Positioned as the perfect bedside companion, Echo Spot is designed to enhance the moments when you start and end your day. The story centers on 'me time' following a single customer through their morning and evening routines to highlight how its dynamic UI helps them rev up in the morning and relax at night.
The visual direction is fun, dynamic, and product-led. Circular framing and motion draw directly from the device’s industrial design, creating a distinctive visual language. Simplified UI elements, icons, time, and interface cues are woven into lifestyle scenes to connect everyday moments with the product experience. The result is a flexible system that keeps the product front and center while building a cohesive visual narrative across channels.
