Echo Show 5
Spring 2023 Launch
BACKGROUND
As smart displays become more integrated into everyday routines, customers are looking for devices that fit naturally into the spaces where life happens—on a bedside table, a desk, or a kitchen counter. The next generation of Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 5 Kids were designed to provide an accessible entry point into multimodal Alexa experiences, combining voice, visuals, and touch in a compact form factor.
STRATEGY
Echo Show 5 may be small, but it packs a lot of functionality. Our strategy was to position it as the compact Swiss Army knife of the smart home, captured in the idea Small size. Big (fun)ction. The visual direction uses a graphic system that pairs lifestyle photography with iconography and subtle motion to spotlight key features while keeping the device front and center. I led the visual design for both the product detail pages, integrating campaign assets into the experience to help customers quickly understand and explore the device’s capabilities in a clear and engaging way.

Echo Show 5
An opportunity to create a more cohesive customer experience is through integrated campaigns that bring the work across advertising, brand design, and content development closer together.
NEW YEAR NEW YOU CAMPAIGN
This integrated campaign for Halo included both devices, promotional pricing, and activation across marketing touchpoints as well as fresh content. The number one goal for this campaign was to acquire new members and increase engagement by positioning Halo devices as a comprehensive solution for user's health goals.

PROCESS
New year new you was about looking at oneself in a new light. Visually translated through prisms, moving gradients, shadows, reflections and glows. The final concept, Glow uses Halo as a source of light to improve health in the new year.
The concept was translated to create a new branded fitness series called Fresh starts, released at the same time.

Content creation
My role in content creation was to conceptualize and create visual design systems that would brand, new content programs and series and set them apart in the Halo app. These assets would also translate to animations, thumbnails, in-content graphic treatments and social.
HALO EXPLORE
Halo Explore was a set of fitness classes shot in nature. Each episode launched with a set of 10-12 videos across strength, stretch, yoga, meditation and movement, all while exploring a location – the terrain,
the landscapes, architecture and culture.

PROCESS
The central concept for this series came from the idea of a window.
An opening to the outside world, a place to rewind and regain your health.
This idea expanded into a series of icons and shapes, inspired by nature and health and finally became the brand for the Halo Explore series.

Content discovery
WHAT'S NEW FEED CARDS
As part of my work to enhance content discovery across the Halo ecosystem, I focused on improving how users learn about new features, fresh content, and domain launches. One of the key initiatives I led was the design of static “What’s New” cards for the Halo app feed.
These cards were designed to make content discovery on the Halo app more intuitive, engaging, and personal. These lightweight announcement cards surface new features, content drops, and domain launches with clear messaging, purposeful hierarchy, and a simple call to action that drives deeper exploration. By integrating seamlessly into the Halo feed and aligning with the existing design system, the cards create a more delightful and informative discovery moment while increasing user awareness of new offerings across the Halo ecosystem.
